I’m just starting out and have not only found this video extremely helpful but am now going down a rabbit hole with ALL your videos. Huge thank you.

The transpose step in the beginning is key in this type of challenge. I loved the way you referenced the series of steps. Pretty clever and shows empathy for your future self.

Well that was excellent. The marker to show the start and end of a series of steps was completely new to me and your explanations of pivoting (when to and what) were spot on. Mega thanks. Keep 'em coming.

Classic way of solving this. In 2018 I had this problem with a twist: the so-called headers were way too long to be actual headers.
Some people make very bad data tables. :-)

I would suggest editing your formulas instead of renaming columns that were just created. The transformation to end of month is a new trick. Thank you.

Again Wyn, thanks a lot. These genius steps save my time a lot.

This is such a good example. I can easily do 1 header but not 2. I learn a lot more doing challenges

Wonderful illustration for data cleaning. I learn much from your videos and now doing exercises. Thank you for sharing these types of data-clearing exercises.

The thing I am most commonly learning from these videos is that I over complicate queries and there are built-in functions I've somehow never looked at.

I wish I had seen this 2 years ago. I had tons of data structured just like that and didn't have the catch of using transpose as initial approach.

I wasn't aware that you also could put emojis on your step names, nice 🙂👍

Hi Wyn. An awesome challenge! My solution was very similar. A great learning experience! Thanks for sharing your approach and the practice file. Much appreciated :)) Thumbs up!!

good! I realize I barely use right click on cells and columns and there's lot's of good stuff in there. Filtering out values! so convenient!! I also separate the first two rows to fix them, but I see there's really no need for that. I love seeing you powerquery'ng

Great tricks and techniques, Wyn. That pesky Change Type step that Power Query frequently smuggles in sometimes catches me out, too!
Many thanks

Love the tip to separate your Applied Steps using the icons. Smart...one for me to use in anger ;)

Great. Thanks Wyn for sharing👍🌹 Please kindly explain why you first named the data section as a range rather than a table?

Late to the party, but loved following along, though Pivot and Unpivot confuses me.
