Really important for bots, zigzagging makes it very hard for bots behind/in front of you to hit you with bullets and lasers. If you have shots coming from the side, it’s better to spam dive and stim until you’re far enough away.

PSA: ON PS5, THE DEFAULT SETTINGS HAVE NO BUTTON ASSIGNED TO SHOULDER SWAP. Most sensible assignment to set it to is Tap R3 (Right thumbstick) that way you can easily swap shoulders while aiming. R3 has no default assignment so this wont interfere with button layout. I dont know where he got double tap circle because that just makes you dive. But thanks regardless for making me aware of this unused setting.

Edit: my bad i meant R3 guys... i havent been walking everywhere.

The last one is actually awesome to know, especially for single and double fabricator outposts. Keep your distance and just pop them, never have to get in combat.

I discovered shoulder swap when moving my crouch button to mouse button 4 and they both bound to the same button. I thought crouching simply caused it but realized later it was 2 keys on the same button lol.

Tip #420: if youre in the shop looking through armor, and want to know what a helmet would look like with the matching armor, you go back and fourth quickly and it will show both equipped.

I feel like most people know about the stims lingering heal but don’t pay it any mind. Spamming stims to survive bullshit scenarios (stalker flinging me into a pile of chargers surrounded by bile spitters) is always a great feeling. I think while it’s active you also can’t loose limbs.

We always spam every possible button mechanic to learn yes or no. Re-stimming can replenish stamina too! Go prone when being attacked by flying bugs. And last but not least. Fire purifiers all.

There is an efficient way of taking out every single enemy type. The best part of Helldivers is finding space to make those moves. It's so well made.
