I take a look at the Rough Ryder Stoneworx Barlow RR2403. The new releases have 440b steel instead of 440a. 440b is usually heat treated to a 56 Rockwell whereas 440a gets 54. You should get a little bit more edge retention out of 440b.

Hardness of 440 Stainless Steel

Grades

≤255
≥54

440B

≥56

440C

I don't own any rough rider knives but the ones you have shown look very nice. I really like the look of this one. Great collection of patterned knives. That's very cool! Thank you for sharing my friend.

I bought one of these a couple months ago but just recently really took it out to play with it. It's a pretty sweet little Barlow. Nice half stops. The scales may be a little much for some people which I get, but I really like it. You go up a level or two in Rough Ryder knives and there are great values to be had. 440B good.

Well it is a nice knife and it's really well made. Not being able to complete a series can be absolute frustrating. Having all the patterns except for that one knife, or the story on the one that got away. When i saw the Marbles Ramshorn in the box, i had to admire that one again. Don't get beat up by the crickets William.

You mean a new one. This was the first s 3/8 in Barlow in the StoneWorx Series. Looks matter. Beauty, odd, strange, scary! They matter. The words are "Bloody Basin Jasper". I was actually told by someone at SMKW that it was originally model off of that stone. I also prefer the original blade arrangement but I know I'm in the minority. My look at the Barlow will be in a week or two. Glad you got one. This is one my faves in the latest run. I like the stone line up and the build is really good!

I hoping it is still there come Friday. Once they're gone I suspect they will be gone!

Nice fancy looking Barlow, I like two blade models for carrying over single blade. I haven’t any Stone Works ones, like them just never bought one.🐯🦗🦖

Looking forward to getting this one. The price jump on it was a little jarring, but I'm thinking this one was just a little higher due to the inlay work. So glad to see the horseshoe bolster.

Ooohhhh, pretty! Lol. It is a mystery what attracts us to certain things. Studies of twins separated at birth show that the twins marry partners with the same name, pick the same breed of dog…so some of taste is genetic. I don’t know why I like what I like, but I do. That
new barlow is damn handsome.
