I still have my white linen blazer ready at all times for chilly restaurants etc. It's hot and humid here and doesn't cool off until October, but I'm still self conscious from my no white after Labor Day upbringing.

Marie-Anne -- c'est tres chic. I love white & wear it all-year round except when it rains or snows. I have cold weather Wool/cashmere T-necks, cardigans, V-necks, crewnecks to white corduroy jeans/wool trousers & wear plenty of snakeskin, animal prints & moc Croc, suede oxfords, boots (high/low), loafers, pumps. All have heels to elongate my petite frame & look better to belts, bags & scarves & cashmere wraps, ruannas & shawls around my shoulders over outerwear (usually blazer, jacket or 3/4 length coat known in US as a car coat unless it's a swing coat.

OK, every time I hear about white after labor day rule I recall movie Serial mom. It's a black comedy. She killed one woman because she put on white shoes in October.
I'm from Russia and I've never heard about that rule before. And we celebrate labor day on 1, May.
