all your videos are so helpful. with dyes, once I have soaked an item in a dye bath, can I continue to use the same bath for other items? If I still have some left over, can I cover it and use it the next day etc? It won't be hot any more but I could heat it again...would that work?

What happens if your new bedsheets are 60% cotton and 40% polyester? Both vinegar AND salt?!

So which dye should we use for a 50% cotton 50% polyester sweatshirt? I was told to use Dye More, I follow the directions to a 'T' but every single time I use it &take it out of the washer my colors wash out and are pastel instead of staying vibrant !

Can you turn a dark color lighter, like if I had orange tool handle, can I make it blue?? Everyone is just showing black. It's exhausting. I want to see some experimental things. Dark orange to green or blue ?? Thanks 🎉

Thank you. This was helpful. I'm wondering how to deal with the stiches when the thread is synthetic. I used all purpose dye on a top and it looks beautiful. But the thread remained in the old color. Contrasting stitches is a look, just not the look I was going for. In that case, should I use Dyemore?

Will certain dyes still leech color even after you used the rit Colorsafe fixative? I dyed some socks, underwear and a tshrit with the red Rit dye. I used the bucket method on both the dye and fixative baths with hot water as the directions say. When I went to wash the items after the fixative bath in warm water after rinsing them under cold running water, I noticed it still turned the wash water color. Even after using 2 bottles of fixative.

Thank you for this video! I am dying a 97% cotton shirt and some white masks (made by haynes and look like underwear LOL)
I decided to use the dyemore because the color I want simply isn't available in the all purpose. (the sapphire)
My questions. In the video you seemed to specifiy using the fix it for all purpose but didn't mention the dyemore. I don't care if the color fades, but I don't want it to run on other clothes.
Do I need to fix the dyemore?

Can you use the rit dye remover to create an acid wash look? Or does it have to have the fabric submerged to remove dye? Specifically I'm thinking of using rit dye remover with a damp sponge to create an acid wash/stone wash effect.

Thanks for this video ! ¿If I were to want to dye a mostly polyester yellow dress into brown, how would I go about that process? Would removing the color help at all ?

is there a way to dye something that has patches attached to it without coloring the patches? like something to cover the front of the patches in to save it from the dye? sorta like when u cover your skin with vaseline while dyeing your hair so your skin doesn't get stained.

Thanks for the video :) I understand that you should use Dyemore with synthetics if it's 35%+ (that's a given) and regular with cotton/naturals. It's easy to understand why you need the dyemore for synthetics but no one has mentioned why you shouldn't use it on cottons? I would think the dyemore would be a stronger dye? and maybe actually do a better job on cotton? I would appriecate any that knows the answers to Please inform me. I wanted to dye some cotton but thought that I would not be using the whole bottle of dye up, so I should buy the Dyemore, so I could use it on other small items later on.
