Interpretation of Statutes: Purposive Approach [Lecture 17]

In the UK, purposive approach is derived from the European Union law. This approach is widely used in European law and has overtaken the mischief rule to a large extent. This lecture discusses the purposive approach and likely changes in light of the Brexit.
