At present, we know only a tiny part of what is currently still hidden from our eyes in the infinite vastness of space. The question of how big the universe as a whole actually is is a mystery that mankind has been dealing with for countless centuries. I've recently thought - if the universe is expanding, and expanding exponentially at that, then doesn't that suggest to us that space is not infinite? For it to be expanding like that, it must be expanding into something that it didn't possess there before? What could there even be outside? Honestly, there's so much to even get your head around when it comes to what we theorise about our universe - we know nothing! Nothing!
