Im ex-Navy and I can say for sure that I never saw anything odd while in service. But a few years before I joined, I saw something I cant explain to this day. A large yellow orange ball in the night sky and it just sat there for a while and then it was like the thing collapsed in on itself and shrank down to 1/4th the size it was. After that it was like it shot off in S curving path up and out the sky. I'll never forget it.

I really wish people would stop calling these folks "whistleblowers" when they have to go through DOPSR for everything they say. If you were drunk driving and killed a child, and I said "I have to talk to the police", and you replied, "Yes, but you can't mention anything about drinking or the child" and I abide by that, I am not a whistleblower, I'm a PR intermediary for you. I know Grusch faced some retaliatory actions for his testimony, but if you want to see how the USA treats REAL whistleblowers, look to Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden. THEY were real whistleblowers, and they suffered a little more than having their records scrubbed.

The military and government have spent millions (if not billions) of dollars over several decades and have collected tons of data (reports, investigations, imagery, media, and even some alleged physical evidence--most of which remains "classified") on a subject generally dismissed as untrue and not real. That is an enormous amount of time, effort, and money to spend over nothing.

A couple thoughts.

1. The government wants us to believe it's in control of its area. The last thing they want to admit is that a superior force could crush us at will and there's nothing we could do about it. And, what's worse, we don't know much about that force, including what it wants.

2. #1 would lead to a frightened population. A frightened population can be unpredictable, sometimes violent.

Better to simply deny the problem and not worry the people over things we can't control.

That's my SPECULATION.
