Thank you for disclosing this very useful info. Making EF-S lenses useless is a big deal.

I just sat here for twenty minutes trying to see the difference between my EF and EF-S lens and couldn't see it. Glad I watched this video.

Thanks Henry. I know this is an old vid, but I appreciate you taking the time to talk about the mount's models and areas of confusion. I've been away from a/v for a while and while I have and older speed boosters, EF lenses and MF bodies, I had forgotten about what what and some of the specifics was. This was a good refresher. THX

I just bought a GH5 and this speedbooster, very keen to see how it performs. Will mostly be used for filmmaking with PRIME lenses, and a fast zoom lens here and there

thanks for the autofocus info. this is my 4th or 5th video searching for that info and you are the first to mention it. just a side note you can modify ef-s lens mounts to work by removing the part that sticks out. just do a search on it. on my particular lens I just popped the whole plastic piece on the rear of the lens out. some people grind it down. it might be different from lens to lens. always do your own research and verify that the modification you are attempting will work for your needs. if done wrong it will break your camera.

Efs lens can be converted to Ef lens as most have the extra end screwed on.

I enjoyed the vibe, flow, and information in this video -- well done.
Question -- does the platform that attaches to the EF-M2 II come with the device, or is it an extra?

What does the tiny switch on the viltrox do? Not the big one to release the lens, but the one you can see at 5:44 by the viltrox-logo. Thanks!

Awesome video. This was really helpful.
I'm looking to get this speed booster to adapt a Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 L USM lens to a Lumix G7 (or G85)

Thanks for the EF versus EF-S difference.
Something I discovered the hard way is you cannot mount the Viltrox to a GH5 / GH5M2 with the Small Rig cage :-/ need to remove either the cage or the footer.

Your video has saved me from making a bad buy. Most of my Canon lenses are EF-S or EF-M.
