Imagine driving your boat through the canals of Amsterdam and suddenly you pass a tiny boat with Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante casually singing Under the Bridge

John looks just like he's arrived from Trainspotting

Anthony sang more beautifully here than at all the concerts

John is a prime example of someone who can channel their emotions through a guitar. The way he plays truly is something beautiful to hear.

In many parallel universes, John didn't make it and we are watching this video feeling depressed.
In our universe, John survived by a miracle against all odds, kicked his addictions, re joined RHCP and they gave us californication and by the way. That's my happy thought for today.

1:35 Anthony snapping his finger mid-air and saying "one time" is the perfect touch 😌

John’s muting is next level. His ability to only let the right notes ring out is so underrated because he makes it look so easy. The main riff in cant stop sounds simple but getting it perfect is no easy task if you play it the way he does with the open D

I love how frusciante plays guitar. He doesn’t sing, he makes the guitar sing

Man that last shot though. The two addicts fading into the the black under the bridge. Anthony face first, John going with the flow

Many people said it already but watching John playing guitar in this video is really satisfying

Fru’s looked like at least 3 different people throughout his career, if Kiedis wasnt there i seriously wouldnt have known it was him

To see how far Frusciante soared from his addiction is one of the most inspiring things to me

“We’ll be fine, we’ll be fine”

It’s amazing how it’s John, the 20 year old guitarist is reassuring AK that they will smash it, John’s first public acoustic version of this song on a boat on god knows what drugs in Amsterdam, and he knows it’s a breeze to him, he is one of the most talented guitarists ever. Wish he would release more music, but if he’s happy then I’m happy.

I think it's already been said but at 0:37 when john is doing the drum interlude between verse and chorus by tapping on the guitar body he almost drops his he saves it and keeps going because he's a fucking god.

John is a rare gem. This song lives on for generations.

Watching this 33 years after its occurrence, there is something profoundly hopeful about the way that John assures Anthony that "we'll be fine" before playing such a beautiful rendition of this song. This belongs in a time capsule. Thank you both for your contributions to the world of music.

at :40 he almost drops his pick and catches it in time to start strumming. What a beast.
