Loved seeing you on the RIG BUILD video at Sweetwater with Colt. Both of your rigs were wonderful, but your sound was a bit rounder and earned my vote, but it was a close match.

Currently have the RND Newton Channel… but it’s sounding a bit cold/digital. Sad to say I’m disappointed…

Would you suggest a Neve1073 or BAE 1073 would give a thicker/warmer tone?

Technically AMS Neve is actually a clone as well. Closest to the real classic Neve is the RND Shelford Pres by Rupert Neve Design. But this pre is really good also. This and the BAE are great options

Saving up right now for a 1073 SPX! But also looking into a slightly cheaper alternative like the Rupert Neve 511 or SSL 500 series. Any advice on how to get a WARMER vocal chain?

I currently run my Lauten Audio Atlantis or my TLM 103 into my Apollo Twin X (Avalon737 Unison), and it sounds good on my crispy voice, but I wanna FATTEN the signal some. Any Advice appreciated as I’m currently stuck in the PREAMP RABBIT HOLE 😂

That output level actually goes through a transformer and apparently you're meant to have it up high with the input gain feeding in a bit lower to get the intended sound.
