Since most of these pliosaurs sizes are based on estimations based on fragmentary remains, the sizes are highly debatable. The largest a pliosaur, pliosaurus (debatable if liopleurodon was as the same species) is LIKELY to have become is 15m (50ft) and the largest mosasaur (either mosasaurus, hainosaurus or tylosaurus) was LIKELY to be 18m (60ft). The mosasaur has a speed and agility advantage, although pliosaurs weren`t slow. a mosasaur`s bite force was around 6 to maybe 8 tons. a pliosaurs was about 15 tons. However, if you go on speculative sizes of pliosaurs, a pliosaur WWD liopleurodon`s size would have a bite force of 30 tons! Giant pliosaurs have been estimated at being 18-20m- maybe more (25m) this is possible as larger specimens would have lived out in the open ocean (where you can`t look fore fossils). This is why pliosaurus would probably have the edge.
