The Olympics have been SO fun to watch, haven't they, Theorists? Watching Simone Biles soar to gold in women's gymnastics, Caeleb Dressel rake in the medals in men's swimming, the USA women's rugby team shocking the nation, and every other Olympic athlete has been an absolute thrill. But, one thing that we questioned was just how optimal their uniforms are. Is there a better way to win gold?

You forgot one major cost factor for the outfits: labour and manufacturing.

Amy will NEVER forget the cardboard beds they used this year 💀

speaking of carboard bed, for those who don't know the french government and the olympics have requisitioned student rooms provided by "le crous" (which is an aid for students who can't pay for housing) without asking and even forcing them to leave

now you know

since you've mentioned corsets I would love to see a fashion theory on Corsets, well more of the undeserved hate that it gets and the false information that is spread about it. I'm a huge corset fane and find them to be much more supportive then bras. Many women find that bras just aren't supportive (especially if they are quite big) because well where's the part providing support?

"those leotards were $3, 000!" *laughing in equestrian once you add up not only the rider's gear including helmets and protective vests, but the horse's tack too*

These olympic participants need extra support.

Everyone keeps complaining about the cardboard beds but what no one seems to be mentioning is that the mattress isn't made of cardboard the bedframe is and the athletes have shown that the beds are durable. The spirit of the channel is to present all the facts.

Note on the long dresses women used to be required to wear, they would have ironically been made out of cotton or linen. As a person who has worked at a living history museum in full 1860s clothing, it isn’t as bad as you think.

Fun Fact: The Ancient Greeks, the creators of the Olympics, wore nothing but their birthday suits during all the events. It was to insure that the athletes would not be able to hide anything to cheat or get an advantage over their competitors.
Another Fun Fact: Plato competed in the Isthmian Games; the Olympics precursor

I'm sad you didn't test this uniform in various sports. Even if you can't do gymnastics or breaking, but couldn't you test volleyball, basketball, soccer, running, and bicycling? I think that would've shown off exactly what this concept is capable of. And while you're at it, why not put that uniform against the more traditional ones to see if it could ACTUALLY win Gold, or if it's just a cost saving measure. I'm sure you could get MatPat to join you too, I'm sure he'd love a chance to show off his athleticism.

Editors, I would like to personally commend you highly for using the Air Emblem from ATLA whenever the word air is mentioned in any video. You're real ones for that.

i think the cardboard beds is related to the topic discussed by the channel "search party" video titled "Why no one wants to host the Olympics"
TLDW: hosting the olympics is more costly than beneficial in most cases

Fun idea, but I think they're still better off sticking with outfits that work well for their specific sport, as someone who plays tennis I'd definitely not want to use this outfit, it doesn't even have pockets.

Amy I to know, is the D&D AC system accurate? Does the Full-Plate Armor heavy really prevent being damaged more than a Studded Leather light armor?

Is it really better to put plates of metal all around you, sacrificing your dexterity and mobility?

Even the Medium Armor that combines high AC and Dex modifier tops at 17 AC, which is still bellow the Heavy Plate Armor that has 18 AC all on its own.

How accurate is the D&D AC system? Which would also be a great occasion to show some great cosplay (and maybe even have the Team Theory company buy them for you 👀😛)!

Do you remember before the MICHAEL PHELPS era?
When Ian Thorpe of australia arrived with the "shark swim gear"
and then they banned that gear cuz it had advantages?

4:30 Check out some videos from Bernadette Banner about historical summer clothing. Even though women would wear long sleeves and long skirts, the fabric and construction methods used meant the dress was a breathable outfit in the end.
