I just updated my wife work computer Aspire Z3-710. I put a i74770K in it along with a Samsung pro SSD 500gb I had laying around and bought memory off Amazon DDR3 1600 16gb. All for 60 bucks her pc honestly is blazing now. I couldn't believe this computer supported the 1150 socket.

I was given one of these from a school. They said it was running to slow, they returned it to supplier to have it fixed, this happened twice with no luck. After i got it and had a look, it uses a 5400RPM HDD which is slow, like 20 year old slow, why Acer shipped them with these is beyond me.


Anyway after upgrading to an SSD it runs heaps better, one problem though the sound doesnt work anymore. I may have bumped something to hard, not sure. Im hoping its a settings problem, any ideas for a fix?
