I have owned many bikes since 1970. I began with a Honda 70 and moved through various Hondas to the Yamaha RD series into Suzuki 900 to the Kawasaki Widow Maker 750 and then 1100 to the V-Max in 1985 and then various Ninjas to the Busa and early Boss Hoss 350 and 502 and now the 2020 Triump 3 GT Rocket. Over 30 bikes I counted in 54 years. I found the 4 year old Rocket with 300 miles on the odometer. Not a scratch anywhere on the bike. I rode it from Dallas (or Plano) to home at Lake Texoma. At 67 years of age I decided to make The Rocket a nice attration in my house. I don't think I will ride this beast but rather adore it like a painting or work of art. It is an oustanding motorbike. Acceleration is unbelievable. The design is art. I start it once a week. Heck, I don't smell carbon monoxide or burn't fuel and my warning alarm hasn't gone off yet. But I only run it 2-3 minutes. I love reading these comments. Yes the Busa and V-Max are fast but the Rocket looks....like a Rocket. And I love it.

Since the first time I saw one of these I found it to be one of the most beautiful bikes I've ever seen. Looks like a sculpture. Artistically beautiful. Glad to know it rides well too. Merry Christmas, Kevin... and I didn't mind the "sappy" part at all. My wife won't get on a motorcycle but we are both at peace with it. She encourages me to take a couple long trips a year and tolerates what she calls my " times of adoration, " just starring at it in the garage.

I had a 2006 and a 2010. Best bikes I have ever owned. It was the easiest tight turns, curvy roads etc. I now own a 2017 Indian Springfield and on curvy roads, to me, it is like riding a tank. I’m 74 and thought maybe I should tone it down a bit. I like the Indian but it seems all I ever talk about is my rockets. Amazing bikes!

Good review. I'm always happy to see and hear that people like their bikes. I'm a firm believer in "Ride what you like, like what you ride.". It appears that both the Rocket 3 GT and the Gold Wing DCT fit you well.

Great review sir. We purchased a 2020 Rocket III GT which my son rode most of the time. We put over 16, 000 care free miles on that bike and I agree, Triumph builds one of the best bikes out there. My son traded the RIII GT on a Honda 1100 Rebel which he loves to ride. However, I wish we still had the Rocket in our garage. I may bite the bullet and get another Rocket...It is truly an awesome machine !

Even though the bike is far too big for my taste, I like the shining on your face when you talk about it 😊
May the Rocket never be faster than your reactions and God's helping hand and may you enjoy every single mile on it!

Happy to see you finally made that review you talked about few months ago on the Facebook group related to that motorcycle. Well done my friend and specially like the visual presentation at the beginning.
Ride safe! ✌️

I have a 2020 GT with just over 40, 000 miles on it now. Love the thing, it can do almost all. No other cruiser of any make has ever passed me in the tight twisties and I can even keep up with most sport bikes. Also speaking to comfort I recently participated in an Iron Butt ride going just over 1, 100 miles in less than 24 hours and my butt faired pretty well, lol. No problems there the stock seat is the most comfortable one I have sat on. The one thing about the Rocket I do not like is the factory panniers. While the brackets look great and fold up nicely the panniers themselves are teeny and not waterproof at all. Plus the zippers are starting to go and I dont know if Triumph is going to replace them or not. I would not recommend the panniers to anybody. Overall I agree with Kevin this is a fantastic machine. PS. I do reccomend getting a larger windshield. I got the Powerbronze and its a great addition.

Nice! Congrats! My budget doesn't allow for more than my 2009 V-Star 950 Touring; however, I certainly enjoyed the ride along, thanks Kevin.

Kevin- congrats again on your Rocket III GT my previous comment i think i accidently deleted but I actually was crazy enough to learn how to ride on the rocketafter my BRC(basic rider course) I went big as they say in texas and got approved with 4150 down on a brand new 2014 RIII Roadster (back in early 2015) well 44k miles later no accidents and have never been down (thank god). Bike has been absolutely bulletproof just tires you'll go through some tires but the grin will never leave your face trust me on that.

What you have is lighter, more technology, and more powerful than my rocket- mine has been good to me with exception of occasional valve cover gasket issue. Wanted to maybe suggest a video of the importance of wearing ear protection while riding; new riders need to know shield or not shield full face or half shell you will get some wind and noise exposure and especially on long trips that could lead to tinnitus. Its on my to-do list to send this same suggestion to Rider magazine (long time subscriber as i'm sure many here are as well).

Good review Kevin. While I do not own one now I have enjoyed owning a few Triumphs(Bonneville, Trophy and America) in the past. I test rode a Rocket many years ago when they first arrived on the market let’s just say they have evolved yet have had the one constant….Massive motor. Enjoy!

10k Mile service interval is a huge deal to me. I don't want to be in the shop ever 5k or 6k miles... this has got to be the best review of this bike I've watched. Cheers... New sub here.

Thanks! I had a Ducati and loved it on short runs but it beat the hell out of me when I took it on a 100 mile run. You and I seem to have the same requirements for a comfortable bike so based on this review I will take a look at a Rocket.

Kevin, thank you for the video. I was just wondering, how do you film like you do like when you are riding & the video/camera is from your right side like that? Do you have someone helping you or something?

I used to own both the Valkyrie and a Rocket III Touring (2300cc). Two of my favorite bikes. Have test ridden the R version and love the engine, but would prefer the GT setup with a little more wind protection. Keep hoping they create a real Gran Touring version. Might have to join you in the multi bike garage segment to meet all my wants.

P.S. Thanx for all you do for motorcyclists!! Much appreciated!!

Looked at a 2022 rocket gt this past weekend. I have to say it is the first bike that has really peaked my interest since I bought my v65 magna new back in 83. Don't know what it is but I'm pretty sure I'll have one in the next couple of months. My wife loved it too. She was with me when I got the magna as well.

I sat on this beast when I was waiting to take delivery of my Trident 660. Awesome to behold and indescribable to swing a leg over.
