What do you think... is Sayulita a place you'd like to visit or has it changed too much??

Good choice on going to Playa Carricitos. Also, good call on going to the north side of Playa Sayulita to avoid crowds. Sayulita is very busy for a small town and you came during the low season. You are right about Sayulita being a good spot for surf, yoga, and very healthy lifestyles. However, there is a very busy nightlife/music scene here. People who appreciate that will likely prefer Sayulita more than people who don't. While the weather and surf is better in the high season (November to around May), if you are trying to avoid crowds and don't enjoy nightlife, you may appreciate low season more.

I young nomads my y wife have enjoyed you for years now and good to see you. We were fixated on Peru but Mexico has been easier and enjoyable in San Pancho especially. This a rare time I connect like this but you two warm my heart

I always say, "I can't stand people; I love persons." Great video and information. Keep on keepin' on! ALSO, It's nice seeing the sun set where it's supposed to.... into the water. West Coasters forever!

I went to Sayulita back in 2005. Wow! It has certainly changed. When I went the main beach was as empty as the last beach you showed in this video. It was lovely and nobody was surfing on top of each other. It was the perfect place to learn how to surf and it was so tranquil. I think there are too many people there now. I think it's a 1 day stop on a vacation trip. I don't think I could spend more than a day there. Too crowded. No peace. Thank you for this video.

You want a quiet isolated beach? Hike past the North Beach along the cliff trail to small Cave Beach or to beautiful expansive Malpaso Beach - same hike trail that takes you to San Pancho. I was just there a month ago.

I vacay in Vallarta often so for me Sayulita is a good day trip idea for PV travellers, combined with another nearby small town named San Pancho it can be a fun, full day including travel, food, drink, shop, beach time ( 8-10 hours)

We stayed 3 days and I loved it ❤, lots of small motorcycles and stray dogs ❤ right up my alley ❤, loved the food of course, also found an AA meeting which I am a long time member so that was great .

Sayulita has always been a love for the past 25 years, but now it has experienced hyper growth and the town has not addressed the large amount of pollution of many of my friends getting VERY sick after swimming in the water. The sewer line upgrades made a 9-10 inch pipe of raw sewer into the ocean be changed to an 18 inch pipe is what I understand. The prices are no longer very affordable either. While the night life is still fun, long lines to restaurants and accessibility are a problem. I say all this hopefully to make people more aware and to not get sick.

New subscriber here.

Very cool videos. My wife, son, and myself are going to PV in a couple months for a week. Would you recommend the quieter parts of Sayulita or Bucerias as a base camp? Thanks.

Where do you prefer? At the end of the video, you said it's not your favorite. Is there a place in or near PV you prefer? Or somewhere on the pacific coast that you really enjoyed?

I live your videos and link information. I used Safety Wing insurance per one of your video recommendations, , when we went to Ecuador a few months ago. Thank you!!

If you want the best surfing and enough space head to La Lancha! Also, if you can handle it there in wet season from July to September you could handle it all year round I think.

We visited Sayulita for a day while staying in San Poncho. A whole lot less people and more interaction with locals in San Poncho.

HAHA! I think that's my brother there in your video at 5:44 with the longboard and the broad hat (white top). I've just sent it on to him to confirm but I'm pretty certain it's him. We're Vancouverites but he was living down there for a few months, my sister and I went to visit and loved Sayulita. :D How random is it to spot your own brother in a youtube video; of all the millions out there. EDIT: Confirmed. That's my brother Rod in your video. 😅
