SAARC was idea of Bangladesh and Nepal to create cooperation between South Asians and flourish together. Look at ASEAN and how they are benefiting from a regional association. Now it's frozen because of conflict of India and Pakistan. India has created BIMSTEC to isolate Pakistan and also leave out Maldives and Afghanistan. BIMSTEC should only be used as a bridge between SAARC and ASEAN and for cross-cooperation . KP Oli is confident to mediate peace negotiations between China and India so I'm sure he can do the same for Pakistan and India who are basically brothers fighting for property (Kashmir, and whatever other names the region has)
