NEW! The Boeing 747 Is Making a MASSIVE Comeback Change The Aviation! Here's Why
Recently, the iconic aircraft - the Queen of the Skies returned surprisingly to London's Heathrow Airport on March 26, 2024, after 8 months of absence. Why does this legendary aircraft attract attention once again? Could this signal a MASSIVE COMEBACK? Let's find out in today's episode!
A surprising appearance
There is a rare sight appeared at London's Heathrow Airport on March 26, 20 24: a Boeing 7 4 7 400 passenger aircraft. This was not a routine flight; it was the first flight after eight months that Heathrow welcomed the 'Queen of the Skies' with passengers on board. Only four airlines still operate these aircraft for passengers. On March 26, 20 24, a 7 4 7 operated by Lufthansa landed at Heathrow from Miami.

This was surprising as the flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt. The aircraft had to divert due to an emergency on board while crossing the Atlantic. Initially, the crew intended to land in Dublin but changed their plan and safely landed at Heathrow. After landing, it stayed at Heathrow for 2 hours before continuing its journey to Frankfurt.

The current situation of 747
What is the current situation of this large aircraft?
Lufthansa remains committed to operating these aircraft at least until the mid 20 20’s, though there are still concerns about their role in the future. Back on March 20 20, just before the Covid-19 lockdowns, Heathrow had scheduled 1,242 round-trip flights for the 7 4 7. For example, British Airways used to operate this aircraft at New York's JFK Airport up to six times a day. However, the airline retired its entire 7 4 7 fleet in October of that year, marking the end with a memorable final flight. Now, with recent appearances at Heathrow, the question is about the potential comeback of the 'Queen of the Skies.' Despite its commercial decline, this aircraft remains beloved among passengers and pilots. Many appreciate its spaciousness, which allows airlines to renew with new services and seat classes. What factors do you think could lead to a potential return for this iconic aircraft?

I don't think BOEING 747 is massive comeback forever this year of 2024. BOEING 747 is the only one oldest plane types in the world. But maybe for Lufthansa Says "NO" to Retire their BOEING 747 that still genius.

It won't come back ever, if anything the A380 might have a comeback on high demand routes but even that is much more than doubtful. If any of those manufacturers could come up with a two engine plane that might bring any of those back. But on the other hand, really only makes sense on routes where many many people want to fly, say London - New York or New York - Los Angeles. But to be frank as planes like the A321 XLR, A350 and Boeing 787 make more and more point to point connections feasible the large hubs will become less important.

I have flown many 747's and the SA A380 but I prefer the 380 for comfort and quietness

Just to correct a mistake....
The aircrafts shown are LH Boeing 747-8's and not 747-400's such as described in your story.

A flight does not make a Massive comeback; its just one flight plus the last 747 rolled out of production in Jan 2023. How do you get a comeback out of a model that is no longer produced?
