I created a new user with useradd and the shelf by default is bin/sh so I had to manually change it to bin/bash, any way I can create it so that by default the bash is selected?

Hi another great tutorial. I have been working under Root since I installed Ubuntu. If I now create a user account will I still have all the programmes and files available that I created and installed as Root ? Many thanks

question. so at 3:03 he writes to list all files and it shows a bunch of them, but on desktop is only that one"corn" others are not shown bc they have this wawe symbol ~, what this symbol means? ty.

How do you add a user that has a first and last name? Space between them, all one word, or use of underscore?

HI, I have created a new user using terminal, i have set a password for that user but still can't log on to GUI (there is no : wrong password" notification - only blink on logon screen)
