Just like Trump's tariffs will be paid by Americans, the tariffs you have shown are paid by Canadians, not us.

Countries, including the US, will charge tariffs on certain imported goods to protect domestic producers from unfair competition, for example, a US company makes widgets, and a Chinese company also makes widgets, but the Chinese company basically uses cheap labor, and manipulates its currency, so the US company can't compete. In response we charge a tariff on the imported product so it will cost more, and encourage people to buy the American one. This is not what Trump's tariifs are doing. He is putting tariffs on all imported goods from these countries, including things we don't produce here, and couldn't start producing here for many years.


This is not going to be a short term headache, it will last for as long as the tariffs continue, and it will get much worse, but don't worry Don, Elon, and everyone else in the top 1% will be fine.

This was already debunked.There's a provision that after they reach 100% of something.Then they can choose to impose those tariffs.
