The love they have for their sport is a pure and good thing. The terrifying thing about growing up is it becomes harder to fall in love with things. I say? Try to never let yourself fall out of love with whatever it is. Its so hard to get it back.

Missouri weather will definitely keep you guessing. Not out of the ordinary to wear a jacket in the morning and be sweating before noon lol

Edit: I'm fully aware the surrounding states of Missouri have similar weather. I can literally drive 15 minutes to get into the state of Illinois. Was just commenting on Missouri because it's more familiar to me. Can't say too much about southern weather. Only been to Mississippi and Georgia for short amounts of time. Just know that depending how much south you are, you guys got the hurricanes and we got the tornadoes. Everyone is a lot nicer/friendlier in Mississippi though in my experience. They weren't lying about that southern hospitality😊

Played college on a field not owned by the school. The coach set the field on fire to melt the snow so we could have practice in the early spring. We promptly got kicked off that field and the school still isn't allowed back after 15 + years

I feel you. Ashland grad here. Played in 06 and 08 CWS. Learned as much about field management as I did baseball. Our outfield fence was so rusty we used to joke about getting hepatitis shot before playing the outfield as a prerec.
