I did that same move only couldn't stop the bike and ended up in the yard across the street. I got lucky too because it was usually a busy street. I tried to stop but the tires just skidded on the fine loose gravel that I couldn't even see was there.

I had a pipe maker make me a shortie almost identical, sorry I think mine looks a bit nicer. He used the standard down pipes, made a collector and the shorter, sounds great
