The greatest professional athletes have the best head coaches. They’re trained by the greatest on how to be the greatest. So when an athlete’s career ends, why wouldn’t they want to go into coaching, to show these kids how to dominate like they did?

Well, it hasn’t always worked out. Wayne Gretzky (GRET-ZKEE), the best hockey player ever, sure failed as a head coach. But we’re betting some active athletes could succeed.

No matter how much you hate him, I think Tony Romo could make a good coach (at least QB coach). In his prime he shown he was really intelligent about working around the pocket and keeping a play alive, if he could teach Dak some of those techniques to keep the play alive, along with Dak's confidence both in the air and on his feet, then he could help Dak become a formidable force through his career.

Plus, with Romo's close relationship with Jerry Jones you know he could talk his way into an opening at QB coach when open.

Even though Kobe is retired I think he would be a good coach think about it he understands what it takes to win, he wouldn't take shit from any player even star players, he has a high basketball IQ, he can show the rooks what it means to work your ass off, and he could calm his team down in clutch situations and he has seen how great coaches operate (Phil Jackson)
