In this video I review the following antenna from Amazon: "Philips Rabbit Ears Indoor TV Antenna, Dipoles and Circular Loop, Tabletop Antenna, Digital, Smart TV Compatible, HDTV Antenna, 4K 1080P VHF UHF, 5ft Coaxial Cable, Black, SDV8201B/27." It costs less than $10 on Amazon and claims a 30 mile range. How well does it work as an indoor antenna?

As an apartment dweller, i am always glued to the screen on your indoor antenna videos. So many cord cutters are subject to rental agreements that deprive them of the ability to access an outdoor antenna. I definitely like the versatility of this antenna as to placement.

Bought this after watching a bunch of your videos and am extremely happy. I am 17miles from the towers all of the major local stations broadcast from, with mostly flat ground. My house is a split level, and I stuffed this between studs in my basement utility room on the opposite side of the house from the direction of the towers. Signal strength and signal quality both at 100% for all local channels I intend to watch. Set up an HDHomerun at the same time, and it is all working extremely smoothly.

Looks like the classic indoor antenna design was already perfect. Reminds me of the day VHF and UHF had separate antenna connector on the TV set.

It's nice to see a small indoor antenna actually perform well for a change. Good to see they're still out there.

I at first thought I hadn't clicked on this video. That was one long advertisement.

Purchased for my son at College. The perfect Antenna because he's only 10 miles from the towers. Thanks. Used the link you provided

I ordered the antenna you reviewed in this video using the link you provided, and it arrived today. I put it in the same place as the old antenna (similar to thes the one on top of your TV in your videos) and left the pre-amp that came with the other antenna in-line. So, the only thing that was changed was the antenna. Wow - It worked great! Thank you! I scanned channels before swapping it out, and got 67 channels. After swapping it, I got 91 channels. Thank you for suggesting it. I can't "thank you enough."

Tested the Antenna today. Very impressed with the performance. First tested it from 28 miles away and had no problem picking up channels. Received the VHF Channel 2 NBC Channel after moving it a few times. A first for an indoor Antenna in my area to get the NBC VHF Channel. That is the key to this antenna is to move it to find the ideal spot. This Antenna beats all of the Mohu Leaf Antennas I have tested. For the price, this is one of the best for sure. My son will be testing it at UCF later and he will be much closer to the towers. Thanks, Tyler.

This antenna defiantly did help me out with receiving my very strong VHF/UHF stations in NYC

The indoor antennas are a major advantage if you have a portable TV and you mostly used it outside, you get most of the channels with a very good signal.

I picked 2 of these up recently. I used 1 in my apt bedroom and it worked just as well as the Clearstream 2Max it replaced. I used the 2nd one i purchased for my digital police scanner. It improved reception remarkably better than the dipole that came with the scanner.

Hey amigo! This is HANDS DOWN the best bang for your buck antenna! I was using a flat antenna outside and this thing indoors BESTED it in SPADES! In fact, it picked up 15 more channels than any other previous antennas that I have used in the past. I just hooked up 20ft coaxial cable and hid the antenna high up on a window behind a curtain that is always closed so it can't be seen. I also used the little amplifier that came with the flat plastic antenna and it boosted the numbers on the tv signal meter to 98 and 100 on most channels. I decided not to use the amp because I was still drawing in rock steady 86 to 98 with it on the majority of the channels. Since then I have bought 3 more of these for my other sets. For just $11.25 this is a no brainer! Thanks again for your review. Btw, do you have an antenna rankings chart? Oh..I also did a review on Amazon giving you your deserved props!

I live on the North Carolina and use an outside set up. But this is a hurricane zone and after the storm you need to crank up the generator and a fan and your cheapest tv and an indoor antenna.

I replaced the thin coax cable with RG6 and saw no improvement. In fact, the thin coax seems to be of a high quality with a stranded copper core and stranded copper braid. In the end, I swapped the original coax cable back because it is so flexible and easy to work with. I just wish it was slightly longer.

Excellent antenna. This antenna can pickup over 50 stations in my area which includes substations. I live 25 to 30 miles from most stations the closest being 12 miles. I am very satisfied. Thanks for this recommendation.

I tested this antenna outside using a piece of flat coax to run rg6 through a basement door and I was able to even pick up 6ABC in Philly. Was getting MeTV2 also but it was pixilated. Very impressive for an antenna with only 15 inch Hi VHF dipoles.

I bought this antenna recently after trying 3 different style antennas from Walmart. While the 3 previous antennas received a few channels, this little Phillips rabbit ears brought in 60+ channels. I am amazed…. 40+ miles from broadcast towers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before using this antenna, I was resigned to installing an outdoor antenna. Now maybe not.

I found this old Phillips antenna at my grandma's house that she used 5-6 years ago and (shockingly) it still works, since I have already used it before.
