Werewolf by Night was so well received that I thought they would bring forward Blade, Midnight Sons, Moon Knight S2 etc a lot sooner to capitalise on it

One of the saddest parts about Marvel not having a plan with these characters that they tease is that they sign actors into one two or 3-year contracts and then nothing comes out of it. While at the same time holding these actors back from doing other roles that they might be excited about, but are like oh no, I have to be in this blade film and then 5 years later it gets canceled. That's not very fair to the actors at all

Just make Wesley Snipes the old grizzled leader of the Midnight Suns. Kinda like SLJ as Nick Fury, but he kicks a lil more ass. Easy for the casual moviegoer who already knows Snipes as Blade

Marvel needs "Team Up" shorts. Film them all at once and sprinkle 1 episode between movies and TV projects just to show connectivity and action. They don't even need dialog!

People who weren't around can't believe people didn't know Blade wasn't Marvel. I remember leaving the theater, and a guy behind us said he didn't know it was Marvel until he heard us talking about it. No one but comic book readers and Spider-man the animated series fans knew who Blade was going in.

You guys made some valid points, but you danced around the main issue with the Blade movie. Ali signed up to do a Balde movie. Marvel has been pushing all along to do a watered down movie that focused on Blade's daughter, with Ali being relegated to a side character. No doubt Disney wanted to load upbthe movie with their messaging too. Ali was not having it. Marvel is notorious for micromanaging their productions and a lot of directors and writers don't want to work under those conditions. Despite what Feige said in the past, Disney was uneasy about putting out a gory, R rated movie. Deadpool and Wolverine proved that an R rated movie would work, but Ryan Reynolds has been pretty vocal about the battles he had with Disney to get that movie done. Ali has faced the same thing, but he doesn't have the pull that Reynolds has. Now with the appearance of Snipes as Blade in D&W, all the enthusiasm for Ali and his movie has evaporated. That's why it has been canceled.

It's both unsettling and infuriating that Marvel can introduce Kang The Conqueror and do away with him in across 3 projects in 3 years and then replace him by bringing back Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom all before making a film about a cool guy on a motorcycle who kills vampires.
