Shogun Assassination will probably be my favorite in Gintama. Characters, music, plot, unexpected alliances, stakes, losses, dialogues, fights, twists, reflections. It's all there in this arc! I really didn’t expect anything from this anime, but it captivated me from the first episodes, but this arc exceeded all my expectations and fears settled in my heart forever. One of the best anime and stories I've seen... At the end I couldn’t even hold back and and cried a little. If you haven't watched Gintama yet, I highly recommend doing so, you definitely won't regret it.
