-- Top 5 Best Trekking Poles 2020 --

I have been using trekking poles for the last two years and after tons of research and using them myself, I have chosen what I think are the top 5 best trekking poles you can buy.

You may be wondering, Why use trekking poles? Well, trekking poles support your weight and are a great help when you slip on the trail.

I personally love Leki trekking poles and Black Diamond trekking poles, but I have included other brands in this list like Foxelli.

I hope you enjoy my list of the best trekking poles and I hope it answers the question of, should I use trekking poles or not.

Any advice for a pair of poles that can be used daily by someone with mobility issues, such as Parkinson's Disease. I'n worried about the poles taking weight, as in use on stairs.

I would like to see how the foldable poles are assembled. Only showed the handle and the tip. Is the elastic tension the only thing holding them together? Confused.

Would like your comparison with Cascade Mountain Tech Aluminum Folding Trekking poles. You can get them for $30 at Academy Sports, and they fold up to 14", so they fit in any bag or suitcase, and the pack side pocket when you're not using them. They're my choice for Grand Canyon, and we'll be using them on the Mt Hood (OR) Timberline Trail in August. @t

i was glad to have come across your review on both the Black Diamond and the Foxelli as both of the shown models were the exact ones that i was reviewing, and also I would be a first timer purchasing of such Trekking poles. Initially i was leaning towards the Black Diamond but since this review, seems like I will be purchasing the Foxelli instead.

You should have a look at Viking Terve Trekking Poles. Weight 225 g (7.94 oz) aluminium 7075, fast lock + folding system, 36 cm folded (14.11 in) and cost only about $40 - $50.

If you have ever been bothered by aggressive dogs, you will be happy to have a good solid pole.

Helpful video but Most of the world uses metric measurements bro, maybe next time have both units on screen?👍

You talk about 'premium brands' like Black Diamond being 10 ounces per pole, then say the budget poles Montem are 'heavy', checking the internet they're 9.6 ounces per pole in 2023, so lighter than the Black Diamond (I don't think they would have radically changed this pole in 2 odd years) ! They're made from 7075 aluminum, so good quality material.
Later you talk about the Black Diamond Trail Ergo poles being USD 100 poles and 16 ounces that's not good at all, heavy and expensive.
You're staring yourself blind on brands a bit I think here.
Carbon poles are light yes, but can't take the knocks aluminum poles can.
Foam wears much faster than cork.

All carbon poles are the bent near the handgrip...does - to the strength...
