These Real Estate terms sound relatable but can play a huge difference in the way you look at and buy properties. According to the RERA Act of 2016,

Carpet Area
Carpet Area = Net Usable Area of the Apartment (excluding external walls, terrace, balcony, and verandah) + Internal Partition Wall Areas.
There is a 5% difference between the General Carpet Area and the RERA Carpet Area.

Built-Up Area
The built-up area calculation includes a carpet area, both interior and exterior wall areas, and any exclusive balconies or corridors.
Built-up Area = Carpet Area + Wall Areas + Terrace and Balcony + Exclusive Corridor
The built-up area is usually 10% to 15% larger than the carpet area.

Super Built-up Area:
By adding the built-up area and the proportionate common area, the super built-up area is calculated. However, this is no longer in consideration of cost.
