I'm back again with another top five list of Sega Megadrive (Genesis) games you need to play and have in your collection. The Megadrive is one of my favourite retro consoles so I wanted to share with you the games I love the most.

Very good choices. I've spent a lot of time with all of these except Alex Kidd (I did play AK in Miracle World far too much though). SoR 2 is such a polished game. I still remember the first time I played it. Blew me away. Outrun and Castle of Illusion are both classics too. 👏

I love Golden Axe games. Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage 2 are both amazing. Id also recommended Phantasy Star 4, Shining Force 1 & 2, Gunstar Hero's, Ecco the Dolphin, Toejam and Earl, Earthworm Jim, Earthworm Jim 2, and Fatal Labyrinth.

Ohh nice games!
- Alex kidd was always sooo fun to play!! my personal favorite was AK in Shinobi world on MS!
- Castle of Illusion is just a big classic, had sooo much fun with it and controlling Mickey as a kid is just something special
- Golden Axe same as CoI big big classic and still one of my favorite beat em ups!
- Outrun the next big classic! i only played it in arcade myself but the cruising in it and the music is soo fun, Never had the megadrive version myself.
- SoR 2 ohhhh i remember my neighbour had it and i was instant hooked wanted to go over there like everyday to play! it was instant the game i wanted for my birthday then :D

Some really good choices there mate. - You so should play Quck Shot as that is my fav all time MD game. So much fun!

Great selection! Love Streets of Rage and Outrun! Had Alex Kidd (master system) and found it fun but super challenging! As for castle of illusion - I don’t think i got past the first level as a kid 😆

Golden Axe, Outrun, Streets of Rage! Yes yes and yes!!! Have you checked out Outrun 2006 on PS2 also? A great successor, love your channel keep up the good work

I was hoping Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is your number 1 pick and when you showed SOFII (Streets Of Rage II) I was like ooh so close coz Sonic 2 is my all time favourite game not just on the Mega Drive but from the series too and it's my personal fave game and i 1st played it on Sega Mega Drive Mark II at my after school caretakers since I was 11. Played some of Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle on Mega Drive Mark II at my after school caretakers too and I have played some of a couple of Mega Drive games you mentioned on Sega Mega Drive Classics on Switch and PS4 I haven't played Castle Of Illusion yet. Great choices and great video 🙂

Getting back into the MD recently so couldn't have come at a better time. Me and my mate used to play Golden Axe forever back in the couch co-op days.

Some great games in the list and obviously personal to you, unusual not to see a sonic.
