Welcome to this free English lesson on Homophones. If you didn't know, homophones are words that are pronounced the same way, but they have different meanings and spellings. In this free English class I'll help you learn over 42 of them.

In this English lesson I'll show you the word pairs, and two images to help you remember their meaning, and then I'll explain their meaning and how to use them by giving some example sentences.

In this English lesson you'll learn words like hair, hare, won, one, weak, week, bare, bear, hole, whole, beat, beet, break, brake, role, roll, read, reed, buy, bye, flour, flower, sale, sail, paws, pause, and many more!

I hope you enjoy this free English class on homophones!

⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Hey Bob, I discovered you through a Video where you and 2 others compared different English accents. So I looked into your Youtube channel and I must say I am amazed, the way you explain things is Awesome and easy to understand for non-native Speakers. (I showed them to my class because most of them don't speak English or only tiny bits and after a week or so they improved quite a lot!) I personally use your Videos to practice an English accent because I find the german accent mildly annoying tbh besides I wanna move to Canada in a couple of years so your Videos are a good input for me. Anyways I was wondering if you could set up a Discord Server so this Community has a place to come together and eventually find learning Partners? - Mike

Hello. So... I just wonder, how subtitles can recognize what do you mean, when you use different words with the literally same pronouncements?! Is it a magic?

As usual, awesome lesson, Bob! Thank you for that! By the way, how about doing another lesson but now on Homonyms? Though I think You may have thought of that already. It'd be amazing to learn more about homonyms with you.

Besides cheap and cheep, also exist the word "chip", which has two meanings: a potato chip or a component of a computer or smartphone.
