#intermittentfasting #fasting #OMAD Viewer Question:
Hi Kayla, I am a middle aged woman who has been overweight most of my life. I am wanting to lose 25-30 pounds to get down to a healthy weight for my 5' 4" frame. I have been eating OMAD (eating window 5-6:30pm) 5 days a week and 2 days cheat for approximately 2 months. I have not lost 1 pound! What would be your #1 suggestion as to why that may be? I understand I could be stricter but I would have thought that I would have lost even 1 or 2 pounds by now. Help!

For anyone who is trying to lose weight or anything like that … make sure to eat slower and drink water, the faster you eat the more you’ll want. Take your time and know you are able to do it. God bless 💗!

Two cheat days give you plenty of time to make up the weight. Cheating is more like relaxing in moderation. Also very important to exercise. Should consider waiting till you make the weight before you start cheat day and make it a reward. PS...I list 25 lbs on omad thanks to Kayla and my blood work came back perfect even though I am still overweight. I will eventually make the weight but there are others rewards to omad in the meantime.

I would suggest she finds what her BMR is...I was shocked to know my BMR was 1500 calories...this was a lot less then I thought....I was taking in about 2000 to 2300 calories daily for years I thought this was a normal intake for an adult woman ....not so ! ...no wonder I put up the weight, I now eat 1200 to 1400 with intermittent fasting for the last month and have lost 9 a lb a week is my goal, I too need to lose 30 21 lbs to go....your videos are brilliant, I have learnt so much from you, many thanks God Bless.. 🙏

Try something different if it isn't working. Shorten the window, exercise, limit cheat days, try IF, drop carbs lower, pick whatever you want and give it a try. I have been OMAD for only 2 weeks and my eating window is about 30-45 minutes and my biggest problem is getting enough food in.

I have been on omad for quite a while I am not losing any weight not everyone lose weight on omad no matter how careful you try also I exercise too . The reason I like it my eating window is just one hour I eat whatever I want I am not overweight but I know with the omad I am not losing any weight I don't even weight myself anymore

More information is needed about this lady. If she has been doing OMAD for 2 months then its not possible for her to not lose at least 5 pounds

I don't count any calories, I do keto and eat just once a day. I basically fast about 22 hours and then eat once a day. I tried everything under the moon to lose weight before, although I always ate healthy, due to hashimoto and insulin resistence I gained a lot of weight within just one month. With keto and 22 hour fast, 1 meal a day, for the first time my weight is going down. Keto is so important because of the insulin. That's what worked for me so far.

Strict OMAD and can’t lose one pound! It’s ridiculous. I feel like I’m starving and still no weight loss. I walk 3 miles a day. I don’t over eat. I’m 56. I need to lose 20 pounds and I just don’t know how I’m going to reach that goal. Should I just stop eating for days? Not sure what to do. I just don’t get it.

Kayla, love your energy and enthusiasm! Great name for your channel too! 😊 When people you work with hit a longer stall in weight loss do you encourage detox? We find it cleans up the liver congestion from a lot of weight loss and helps move the needle again on the scale and often in a big way. Keep making a difference! Thanks!

So much depends on what she does on her 2 cheat days. I wouldn't even have 1 cheat day until I get close to my goal weight. She may need to do low carb to get things rolling

Umm... you focus on the eating window? The problem is the cheating window.

So you eat only one meal a day? What does your cheat day on sundays look like? How many calories do you consume on those days and does your weight go up the next day?? Thanks
