Located in the North East of Milos, Pollonia is one of the most islands most popular places to stay.

With views of neighbouring Kimolos, the village features a crescent of fine sand with the small village centre comprising of a few shops, supermarkets and a pharmacy set around the harbour road which is home to a good selection of Tavernas.

Also known as Apollonia, whitewashed houses, apartments and Hotels line the coast and many of these can be found in the north of the village at the end of the beach. Set on the peninsular here is the church of Agia Pereskavi where you can get a great view of the village. The church can also be seen from most of the village.

The beach in Pollonia is uncrowded and features some trees which provide some shade. Towards the main Harbour, sun beds and parasols can be hired. The beach shelves gently and is good for both swimming and snorkelling but some care should be taken towards the north end of the beach where shoreline becomes rocky.

The village has two harbours, and at the main one you will be able to catch the ferry and also water taxies to Kimolos. There is a smaller harbour at the north end of the beach where you will also find one of the few bars in this area of the village and also boats available for hire.

Many of the harbour road tavernas are open for lunch and a good selection of food is available. As you would expect, seafood is widely available and there is even a Sushi restaurant and wine tasting.

In the evening, the main harbour area comes alive and attracts diners from all over the island. The Tavernas and restaurants can become busy during the evening, as can the main parking area which is located behind the beach.

Pollonia can provide a good base for your holiday in Milos, being around 30 minutes by bus from the airport and main port of Adamas or less by taxi. Cars can be hired within the village and a small travel agency can provide a range of excursions and ferry tickets for onward travel.
