What a hardcore legend, she even fought anesthesia during surgery.

Suisei calling anesthesia a “death simulator” is the most metal thing I’ve heard from any Holomem and I watch Mumei

Also oddly appropriate

Suisei: I hope there will be no pain.

Doctor: Don't worry, you're in good hands.

Suisei: I meant for you.

Can we appreciate that Sui-chan's voice is finally back to bless our ears ?

My experience with anesthesia is that one moment I was on the table, and the next I woke up in a hospital bed. It felt instantaneous. Like if you blink and appear somewhere else entirely.

"The surgery itself ended quicker than you guys think"

Well, it sure feels like it takes less time for who's being operated, tho if she was discharged on the same day it probably was a surgery more akin to clinical procedures, probably with no incisions, which really doesnt narrow down a whole bunch when it comes to throat surgery.

"I didnt know same-day surgeries were a thing"
Especially with low risk, incisionless procedures, they're really common. Even more so now in the post-pandemic world, where people realised they can just, you know, call their medics or their patients to check on them and be sure they are following proper rehabilitation procedures. Dont get me wrong, same-day procedures already existed past pandemic, but nowadays they are way more common due to the need to free up beds in hospitals during the highs of the pandemic.

as someone who had that kind of anesthesia, i wouldnt say i felt like i was at death's door. when they injected me with the anesthesia they then transported me to another room. when i was in that room i felt like the coldness of the room was just perfect, my body position was just right and comfortable, even though it was a hospital stretcher/bed i felt like it was so soft. so i thought ah this feels so nice, would be nice to sleep like this. next thing i knew the surgery was done and i felt like shit

Yup surgery ends without you even realizing it's over. Imagine worrying a lot about whether it'll hurt or if there will be accidents and suddenly anesthesia kicks in making you feel like you time traveled.

It literally felt like only a few seconds passed inbetween before and after surgery i was like "Wuh? It's.. already done?"

Now the POST-surgery pains however, might vary depending on the type of surgery you have, mine was on the throat so i had to suffer with porridge and coughing waste blood for a month.

some fun things about anesthesia:
It's not like falling asleep. It's much faster, and quite different. Your senses get fuzzier and fuzzier, you lose the sense of hearing and touch quickly, then you can't think anymore.
Your brain is still active while sleeping, but anesthesia is more like a complete reboot.
You do feel the passage of time. people say you don't, but you actually do. The reason people think you don't feel time pass is because you never dream under anesthesia, so that segment of time is quickly deleted from your memory a few minutes after waking up.
Doctors don't know how anesthesia works, or how you wake up from it after. It's a mystery to science.
When you wake up, you will feel dizzy and possibly disoriented. Best not to get up or walk around too quickly, and definitely don't drive. Doctors say never to make important decisions on the same day.

She may had a throat surgery, but she came back better than ever. What a glorious karaoke stream she gave us, that voice is impressive at so many levels.

Shes surprisingly philosophical and she's not afraid to question things that would scare normal people who try to pretend such things do not exist
Suisei is pretty based

Anesthesia is strong. You really think you can fight it while on the operating table and then you immediately wake up on a hospital bed

Close to death, but I guess even Suisei knew...

People only die when they are killed.

Yup. I had to have an emergency surgery a few years ago. The last thing I remember is them wheeling me into the operating room and me wondering what the Hell I'd gotten myself into. Then anesthesia kicked in, and it was instantly the next morning. Such a bizarre experience.

Ah. General anesthesua lol... Just for fun, you try to see if you can feel it as you go under, and they put the mask on and you ready yourself... and then.. you just go under suddenly. Don't even remember the feeling of getting sleepy or anything. You suddenly open your eyes not knowing what the heck happened, and you struggle for a bit as you try to breathe.. and those few minutes after waking up is like, the worst. lol
