Thank you. I had been fiddling with this for an hour. I got Mum the smartwatch for Christmas and neither I nor she could make heads or tails of it... She has a degree in IT and I have one in Video Game Design. I went through all the permissions and background apps and restarted the phone, etc.

Turns out I just had to click "Ignore."
Wow that's bad design. It was greyed out so we have been pavlov's dog trained to believe grey means unclickable, and the button says "Ignore" instead of 'Next' or 'Skip this step.'
