Interesting video. I’ve heard of agronomy when I was today years old while reading the book Vertical Farming.

Being an agronomist is a very general class. There are a number of special studies to get a specific agronomy degree or advanced degree. To get my Soil Science option I needed a Chemistry minor, Biology minor, and Math minor. This was a Natural Science minor because I had 65 hrs of science.
There is General agronomy, Soil science, Plant and Soil, Entomologist option, Business option. Plant breeding and many more. I have had people comment that I had it easy in college because I studied Agriculture! Tara, thanks for the field trips so people get exposed to Agriculture,

Congratulations to you and AJ on your first child of however many you plan to have in your family. Now I know why the two Haralson apple trees I have which both produced beautiful apples, but now one looks like a flowering crab. My mother told me I prune below the graft. Now I understand better what she was talking about. My nephew is a 4th generation grain farmer and a generation and a half Dairy Farmer. Which is Dad and many of the Dairy Farmers in this area got out of when the government got into it. You can only go in the hole so long before you have to change your strategy. My nephew went to school for agribusiness, and agronomy. He started out small on his dad's portion of the home place, and with the improvements of the soil quality of many of the leased properties he operates his family is getting there! Sad part is we're not all equal in all areas . He's definitely not a mechanic but he's getting there also! His understanding of fertilizer and herbicide varieties and percentages Plum baffles me.
