Franklin did not try to work on them all at once. Instead, he would work on one and only one each week "leaving all others to their ordinary chance". While Franklin did not live completely by his virtues and by his own admission, he fell short of them many times, he believed the attempt made him a better man contributing greatly to his success and happiness, which is why in his autobiography, he devoted more pages to this plan than to any other single point; in his autobiography

They problem with your point is that it misses the point. CU was not a group of little people and simple souls gathered in mass to fight for rights. It was a conglomerate of wealth entities that wanted to be able to bet more money on the horse race and gain more influence with elected officials by increasing there contributions, ie compensations for future favors.

Unfortunately some simpletons also got duped into thinking this was about them. It was giants colliding, not an act of generocity.

This is citizens united who went to the supreme court and got the right to allow corporations to donate unlimited contributions to campaigns.

We ALL know that campaigns are run iwth money. Therefore only those with losts of money to spare can run for office. Also those with lots of money to donate have a larger influence on our system of elections.

Its suppose to be everyone has equal poer by voting, not a ruling oligarchy that gets to increase its power and influence on our Govt with money.
