The funny thing about this whole argument is, dating sites have almost made it a moot issue.
Think about it. When you go on a dating site, you might send emails out or just write a profile & wait for people to email you. Well, if someone does respond - & it's not a complete refusal off the bat - then you know you've got a shot. Whether you land that shot after that is up to your own skills & abilities, but at least you know there's an interest. Moreover, there are plenty of dating sites that cater to very specific kinds of interests, so if you find somebody there you already know they're already into at least some of the same things you are - though not necessarily in doing them with you, obviously - so you at least have a running start in that regard.

I have learned to ask, Let's get to know each other better. Can we get coffee? Rejected? Never ask again. Barely speak to her. The danger in businesses comes if you ever speak to her again.

We used to have a code of manners and etiquette . My parents generation would never just hook up. There might be sex after several date's .but dating now sex is almost expected . This is wrong

Women sure don't know what the rules are. Too easy? Too cold. Too bold. Too weak. Its really hard to get clarity on this. There's no winning in this. I'm thinking Men made the rules and now some women use harassment as a stick to make someone pay. If you ask and she says no but continues to interact, then she doesn't want to be easy but could be interested. She wants to be wanted for more than an easy lay.

Seems to me that she was enjoying herself before she started rememberimg all the ship that gets piled on woman as far as what a man really wants. You don't want to end up the old who're. Our culture dictates with the responsibility on the woman to get it just right or be "ruined"
