Feeling in Empire Bay, driving my red Hot Rod and listening to the delta radio after killing several greasers with my thompson machine gun.

One of the all-time classics. In 1965 you could have gone into any local club anywhere in the UK and the local band would play this. Seminal.

Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you
Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you
I want to love you so bad, I don't know what to do

Going down to Louisiana to get me a mojo hand
Going down to Louisiana to get me a mojo hand
I'm gonna have all you women under my command

Got my mojo working
Got my mojo working
Got my mojo working
Got my mojo working
Got my mojo working, but it just won't work on you

I got a gypsy woman givin' me advice
I got a gypsy woman givin' me advice
I got a whole lottsa tricks keepin' her around

If Little Walters harmonica riff in the middle of this song isn't the best ever recorded I don't what is! That man could play - he's the only harp player who ever outshone the singer and rest of the band.

I'm an old English guy hearing this for the first time. Brilliant! The only version of this song to chart in the UK was by Jimmy Smith in 1966.
