This definitely improves the scroll but is still quite jittery and not as smooth as the trackpad. Try MOS - a super lightweight mouse settings app. Enable smooth scrolling there, change step to the lowest setting, speed (acceleration) to the lowest, and delay to 2. This makes the scrolling replicate a trackpad perfectly.

Although your title is a bit missleading because you explained "smooth scrolling", you helped me finding the "natural/normal scrolling" setting in Logi options+ as well, which inverted the scrolling direction.

Aaaand I bought it thanks to this video. Smooth scrolling was the only reason to pick Magic Mouse and if this mouse has it then it’s an easy choice.

this saved me i also didn't liked the fact the scroll was smooth so when i found this video and clicked on smooth scrolling it made the experience with the mouse sooo much nicer

Thanks for posting! I had the exact same issue and was about to go back to my Magic Mouse. But I find it REALLY odd that smooth scrolling isn't enabled by default? Why on earth not?!

But I think it's specific to the MX Master 3S isn't it. I got the MX Vertical and I can't see this option on Options+ 😢

Problem is it still only polls at 125Hz... Ruins it for me, even for office purposes.

God, the scrolling on the MXM3S annoys me so much. I like the ratcheting scroll wheel, I don't want it to continue going after I take my finger off it.

But, if you don't have the Logi Options+ app installed, you can't use ratchet only mode. The button on the mouse only switches between smooth all the time and "randomly switch between ratchet and smooth while you're scrolling". But, the Logi Options+ software enables "high precision scrolling", which is required for smooth scrolling, but some apps behave weirdly with high precision scrolling as they think you're on a trackpad. For example, ironically, YouTube Shorts does not let you scroll between videos if you have the Logi Options app installed as it doesn't get the distinct scrolling events like traditional mice do

Yea, do a quick search and you’ll find out the buttons on this mouse break easily after a year. Logitech is ignoring the issue too
