I have a very clear procedure for this:
1) Visualize what you want
2) If is a very big goal, cut it in small pieces
3) For each piece, understand what you need to reach that goal
4) Put the needed work.

My personal experiencie: I am Argentinian, so my mother language is spanish and I am a software developer.
I realized that working for the United States I will be earning more money but I had to be better technically and improve my english, so I took the required actions to improve these 2 areas the last year 2020.

Now I work for an american company with customers from US, UK and India :)

You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." *But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?*

“God helps those who help themselves” so true, so many sit around staying in their head waiting around waiting for things to happen, but we also have to put in effort on our end to make things happen!

*"Everything in life is easier when you don't concern yourself with what other people are doing."*

The chances of you seeing this comment is pretty low, but if you did, *I hope you have an amazing day.* 🖤

Guys, when you practice visualization, don't forget the feeling component, it's the most important part. When you see your wish fulfilled, FEEL the positive emotions connected to it and gratefulness for the fact that it happened.

I love it when you’re imagining conversations! As an INFJ – being torn between engaging with people yet HATING small talk lol 😂
Real life: “Hey Joe, how was your weekend?” (to self: when can I go hide in the bathroom?)

Visualisation and desire in general comes from a feeling of inadequacy with where you are now. I used to try manifesting all of the time, but I realised how much of my life I was wasting by spending all of my time wishing I was somewhere else. I still have desires and goals, but I don't pin my happiness on achieving them.

11:40 LOL that’s basically it. I‘ve watched SO many manifestations videos by e.g. Aaron Doughty and Leeor Alexandra and read books about the Law Of Attraction by Esther Hicks, Neville Goddard etc. and it all comes down to: 1) you have to actually BELIEVE that your goal will happen. You can also act like it already happened and feel the emotions of already having it. 2) Surrender. Let go. Don’t put that thing on a pedestal. You should be okay with the situation in either way. And don’t force it, because if you chase something, it tends to walk away even further from you lol.

You always draw that which you are, and you are that which you feel yourself to be as well as that which you feel as true of others. 😊

For someone with anhedonia, this may be a life-changing exercise. It makes your brain work on dopamine, which in turn makes you motivated to get whatever it is you're visualizing. The best balance is to be dopaminergic during the day and serotoninergic before going to sleep. During the day you want to go after the things you value, and during the night you need to be content with what you already have (a gratefulness exercise may help with that).

Can vouch for this! Each year I draw "my ideal self" and over the years I have gotten closer to being my ideal self.

"Put your castles in the air, that's where they should be. Now, put the foundations underneath." Anon. The path itself should be as exciting as the goal otherwise the path becomes too difficult or banal and may keep the dream as just that, a dream. If we see them as way points to the next step instead, perhaps it makes them easier to achieve.

Visualizing helps you achieve your goals, but you have to do the work! Awesome video, Lana!

This was awesome :-) visualizing is my favorite way to get myself into a better headspace and be more motivated. One of my biggest goals is to move to San Diego. I live about an hour and a half away so sometimes I’ll drive there and spend the day there and imagine my life living there. My dream salon to work at is there too and I always visit it when I’m in town.

Great practice! Visualising is like another form of setting goals, but by making it a visceral experience when you’re seeing/ hearing/ feeling what it’s like to be “there”, makes it stronger motivation to keep going with that goal. At least that’s how I’ve experienced it too! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
