Congrats to all awardees, they're all deserving! I'm personally happy for Thea Gagate, bagging her 1st best MB in her rookie year, and for BDL, her 1st award in the pro ranks, she has definitely blossomed under the Creamline system. There are many others who also deserve individual awards, like what many fans are hoping for, eg Sisi Rondina. Well, they can only accommodate 1 or 2 awardees per position, and have to follow guidelines on points system. I'm sure the other players' time will come soon in the next conferences if they maintain and improve their level of play. My guess is that most of the players don't really care much for the individual award, its just the icing on the cake, but they'll treasure the team award more.
As for Petrogazz, they deserve the championship, having stayed consistent throughout the season, they played with grit and determination.
For Creamline, the loss i think will be good for them in the long run, though at first it will really be a heartbreak, including for their many supporters. The pain of loss will only make them stronger as a team, it will force them to reevaluate their team dynamics, and make them strive harder to redeem themselves. But they have done a steller job this conference. Bagging the silver medal against a strong and determined Petrogazz team is no joke.
CCS is i think at a crossroads as a team, a position which most high-achieving teams usually find themselves in at some point. The team performance plateaus, while other teams grow and improve. They will have to assess their team composition, and make some hard decisions in the next few months. But for now, everybody deserves a well-earned break before the 3 Ph teams face the other Asian teams in the AFC championships later this month.
