We made it to George Town, Malaysia!

In today's vlog we travelled by bus from Kuala Lumpur to George Town to check out Penang island!

What was supposed to be a 5 hour bus journey ended up taking over 10 HOURS due to road delays and standstill traffic. We got to George Town and headed to Penang Island to explore one of Malaysia's best beach spots. Things took a turn for the worst with weather and we ended up getting caught in a scary storm. To top it all off our accommodations weren't the best ...  LOL 😝

Despite everything going wrong we ended up having a great time exploring and visiting Penang Hill.

We are off to Langawi, Malaysia next! Make sure you subscribe because I asked so nicely 🤍 and there's monkeys.. 🐒

You guys’ positive attitude is rather refreshing! I miss Penang so much now that i live abroad. Glad you guys still had a good time on the island all things considered. Wishing you hot couple lots of sunshine on the next journey 😉☀️

You should go to the Perhentian Island or Redang Island with crystal clear water and thousand of tropical fish surrounding you, but now the island was closed due to the monsoon season, will reopen by middle of next year.

Nice to see an honest video! A lot of people would have still been saying 'oh this is so amazing’ as they were in the middle of a typhoon.
Thanks for keeping it real and I hope your luck changes 😂

other than taking a bus to Penang, there are another way like taking a KTM train at KL Sentral to Butterworth station. The train ride normally will take only 4 hours to reach Penang compare to a bus which takes more than that.

I had a bus ride from Perlis to KL that took 12 hours. It was a Chinese New Year long holiday and the traffic was so bad. Before journey, the driver told us due to super crowded rest area along the highway, the bus will only stop ONCE at a gas station for passengers to go washroom. No stopping for meal break, buy everything before trip and eat on the bus. I had to limit my water intake throughout the trip to control my bladder. The temperature inside the bus was cold like crazy. Worst bus ride ever and my final one. Nowadays I ride ETS train to return hometown.

Wow just happen to come across this video from my video feed, got a lil excited seeing my hometown mentioned here 😅 Hope you two have a great time here 😎

My personal preference, travelling from/to KL I would choose either by ETS train or by flight. ETS train takes about the same period of time as bus does but it lacks of the stopovers in between like you experienced in the bus

OMG this was so funny, sorry lol Not the bus part but at least you were comfortable while stuck in traffic 🙃 And eating on the beach between monsoon rains 🤣 I too would have saved the food at all costs 🥰 You could do a blooper filled "The Reality of Travel" video!

I've not been a big fan of Tune Hotel. The last time i stayed, the room they put me in had no windows, it had this musky smell. and there was no hot water.

There are other better budget hotels than Tune. That aside, glad to see you're enjoying Malaysia!

if you like the beach, the east side of Malaysia is more beautiful because of the clear water than in Penang. Or you can go to Sabah which has an international island. One of the most beautiful in the world.
