Jeep Wrangler RedRock 4x4 Side Armor - Textured Black (2007-2016 JK 2 & 4 Door) Review & Install

The RedRock 4x4 Side Armor is an easy install and adds great protection while out on the trails. This armor not only will protect your 2 or 4 door Wrangler JK, but it will also serve as a side step.

Get some additional protection for the sides of your Jeep with this RedRock Side Armor. They make your rig look tough, and make for great steps to get into and out of lifted Jeeps more easily. A black powder coating is texturized, minimizing the risk of slipping and getting hurt.

Be aware there are two versions of this Side Armor. Both are made for 2007-2016 Wranglers, but one is for the two-door models (JK) and the other is for four-door Unlimited models (JKU). Be sure to get the right one made for your rig.

This Side Armor is made of 1.75-inch diameter steel tubes, with a .12-inch wall thickness. The powder coating helps with corrosion resistance, which should extend the life of this equipment.

Installation is fairly simple, because the bars bolt onto the pinch seam and the bottom of the tub, without any kind of drilling or cutting needed. Hardware is included, making it unnecessary to track any down. Since the material is relatively lightweight, two people can do this job.
