If we got hit by a CME, no internet would be the least of our worries considering that a CME could take out entire countries power grids worldwide. Why are we only concerned about the internet going down when the whole worlds electrical systems and components could all go down?

I think the 80s & early 90s was the best times to grow up, before the internet. Everyone was more social & personal and never dependent on anything to function or enjoy life.

The amount of stupidity in this comment section is disastrous. I wouldn’t know what a life with technology would be like but it would be a global catastrophe because most of the world economic trading is done through the internet and technology. Big tech companies which trade trillions of dollars such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Tesla, and etc. will collapse within a matter of days. E-commerce is worth over $1 trillion dollars will collapse. The amount of technological advancements we’ve made into preserving food and water will be disturbed. Global trading systems and communications will fall. Power grids and electricity will fumble. It’ll be a whole system collapse since our society whether you boomers like it or not will collapse. The worse part is, is what this does to an individual psychologically. This kind of worldwide collapse will send us back to a straight Darwinian environment where whether people are conscious or not of it, will take possession over a collective society and Darwinian instincts in its purest form for survival and reproductive fitness will emerge. Civil unrest will follow alongside a break out of civil wars over resources and territory amongst communities of people. A full breakdown of civilisation will occur if this were to happen.

I'm a 90s kid, used to growing up with power cuts etc that lasted days sometimes. People cared about each other more. I'm pro Internet apocalypse.

This will effect: cashiers, banks, airplains, airports, satelites, devices, hospitals, houses, most of electronics will shut down, all monitors, laptops, xbox, ps5, computers, more chaos, more robery, elevators, malls, lights, schools, online school, online jobs, in person jobs, stuff on mars will be dissabled for months/years, refrigerated foods, refridgerators, chillers, freezers, and more and ect.
