Beware when renting a trailer from U-Haul! They are supposed to attach the trailer using professionally trained U-Haul employees. The employee who attached my U-Haul rental trailer attached it incorrectly, and it disconnected less than a mile and a half from the U-Haul location. The trailer disconnected and crashed into our vehicle. They refused to answer the numerous phone calls from me. The U-Haul accident support representatives were useless and forced us to be stranded on the side of the road for over Two hours. The only good thing about this is we were driving on city streets at 25mph when the U-Haul trailer disconnected. If we had been driving on Interstate at 55mph and the U-Haul trailer disconnected, it probably would have flipped our vehicle, causing possible severe bodily injury or death, or crashed into innocent drivers.

Do not use these trailers especially if you’re towing it with a moving truck. They’re so short it’s impossible to back up and if you’re towing it with a moving truck you can’t see it in your mirror until it’s too late
