Florida Sheriff Grady Judd: Couple arrested in 'bone chilling' child abuse case

Sheriff Grady Judd said Takesha Williams and Efrem Allen, Jr., are facing aggravated manslaughter of a child after a 3-year-old in their care died in May. Sheriff Judd said the child has extensive injuries. Warning: Some may find the graphic details of the allegations disturbing.

This is disgusting. First of all, the child almost drowns at 10 months old?! No, that is clearly neglect. You don't leave a toddler alone for even a second, especially around any kind of water. Then they can't even take care of their baby who lived but suffered from drowning... ridiculous. I'm appalled.

How does a child in that state of health get sent out of hospital with home Healthcare and not get properly monitored or overseen by Government health commissioned services for two years without red flags during those two years. The sheriff places the sole responsibility on the parents and deflects the equal responsibility of the health agencies that profit from these abuse situations on a regular basis. All vulnerable patients, children and elderly, continue to get neglected and abused by the lack of oversight on vulnerable patients that are used for profit.

Ur such an amazing man, i was only able to have one child (son whom was a drive-by victim of 45y) and it’s so very difficult to even comprehend how anyone could hurt someone, especially a child. I was truly blessed and every single day I knew that God had given me a precious gift for the time He did. I’m sure you and your wife have trouble sleeping every night because of the service you provide for everyone else. Ur both special warriors for everyone and I am always praying for you even now when I am not in the country.

These two need to be taken to Lake Parker…at sundown…rowed out into the center of the lake and sent for a swim…let the gators that feed at dusk deliver the sentence they deserve. If they can’t swim, no problem…the gators out there at dusk are so thick they can walk on the backs of the gators floating at the surface and see it they can make it back to the shore.

i don't think they were just tired, the fact the mother got benefits for staying at home makes me think they just did it for $$$

I have so many questions. As a mom whose son was trached, vented, and gtubed, those things just don’t appear out of nowhere and they have to be maintained. A monthly supply is ordered by the parent to the supply company. Gtubes, trachs, vent circuits. Pilse ox have to be changed on a regular basis. I had 10s of thousands of dollars coming into my house on a month basis just to maintain. With that, when There's a ventilator involved there has to be an RT assigned to it. A parent, caregiver, not even a doctor or nurse has any authority over a ventilator. The only thing we can do is power off/on and change circuits and filters, the rest is done bi weekly by an RT. The RT is hired through the supply company. How did this get past the RT? How did this get past the supply company? There's some serious neglect on all levels.
