I’d love to see Youtube create a new section for vloggers, filmmakers, and others who don’t fall into the help / education space. There are so many amazing creators out there who struggle to be seen.

“How to....” will continue to work well so long as Youtube remains a search engine. It’s how people search. That’s why they need some new areas to showcase loads of new and undiscovered creators. Creator On The Rise is good but they need something like that on steroids.

All of that said, the skate scene on the wet court was dope. Loved the overlay. Nice touch.

You already know as a filmmaker/storyteller I’m over here hoping this “smaller thinking” will eventually change too... it’s so hard to be discovered when content is innovative and story driven versus a how-to. Maybe I’ll have to occasionally jump on board your “5 tips” train sometime lol... fingers crossed I don’t spontaneously combust. Either way, Squarespace Squad unite!!!

I will tell you something really weird .

this EXACT vlog, the EXACT quote, this idea of small, average and big minds"", this whole thing was a video that i was actually planning to talk about and relate to my Youtube experience ( but I vlog in my first language ( arabic) ) . I was wondering why I have been binge-watching your channel lately, and I guess I know why now, I think I have found someone with a very similar mindset that I can really relate to !

These are facts brother. Not too much we can do about it besides be in the now & adapt with time, but this vid is extremely true. I have a segment on my channel called “forest talks” and they’re all idea/philosophy based videos to try to help young beginning creators with mindset etc and YouTube just trashes them all 😂 but no complaints man, you make a vid “for them” a.k.a YouTube algorithm and then make a vid for you, a.k.a what pleases your soul :) keep it going man excited to see the growth/progression of this channel continue ! 👊

Now I know why Roberto Blake told me I need to watch this video. This is so true. I made HUNDREDS of videos on my mental health channel, but my message wasn't getting out there that mental health is important and we need to focus on it. So being the overanalytical person I am, I realized that the algorithm has that small mind that you talk about. My channel grew insanely fast, but I just did what I had to do to spread the message. I'm still going to work the algorithm but in a new way focusing on movies, tv shows, music and stuff. I might do a video and shout you out

You should check out Jamie Windsor. He has a photography channel with absolutely no gear reviews, just ideas (unheard of in youtube photography). And he is actually doing super well
