Let me ask a hypothetical question. Imagine if alcohol and cannabis were swapped from a legal standpoint. How many fewer people would be in prison/jail if cannabis were legal and alcohol illegal? How much kinder and peaceful would our society be? I ask this knowing that some 80-95% of people in prison committed the crime that landed them there intoxicated on alcohol according to several studies. I am not suggesting outlawing alcohol, but am making a point that cannabis costs society much less in the way of crimes than alcohol does.

Decriminalizing MJ is exactly what we have wanted. I don’t care about legalization as much as decriminalization so this news is fantastic!

If it was legalized, it would be best for everyone. The government would make enough money to not only pay down the national debt but put the SS money back too. Also, senior citizens, or anyone else, that lives with chronic pain. Yeah, you can get a Medical Dispensary card but it isn't free and many people are broke right now with this economy, so they suffer. Doctors/Dentists don't give out pain meds AT ALL anymore unless you have major surgery. Plus, the people that purchase it on the streets don't have to worry about Fentanyl poisoning which has killed too many people to count. It would be a WIN WIN for everybody!

As a former driver now a safety director. It’s a safety sensitive profession just as an airline pilot. Although I’m pro cannabis I honestly do not believe self insured companies will allow it because of all those blood thirsty attorneys. Got to admit that as an operator of a class 8 vehicle the odds are already not in your favor.

It’s legal here in Canada and we have had no problems really with legalization.I wish we could get the 2nd amendment up here in Canada.Our gun laws are shit
