Thanks to a generous endowed gift from Frances and Thomas Gambino, Dr. Jeffrey Lipton holds the title of the Frances and Thomas Gambino Professor in Hematology/Oncology and can expand his research on Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a rare genetic disorder that affects the red blood cells and serves as a predisposition to cancer.
