When I took the Hippocratic oath to do no harm…
I had a pretty narrow view of what this meant.
Don’t make the wrong diagnosis,
Don’t prescribe the wrong medicine.
Don’t be an a$$.

But now over 10 years into my practice of medicine and with my experiences as a invisible Illness patient, this definition has expanded to encompass so much more.

-Considering the healing power of our relationships,
-How my not speaking up to injustice or fraud is problematic
-The need to advocate for the overhaul that our siloed broken system needs.
